Greetings on this beautiful day!
Bro. David, Ms. Glenda and Eric are in Kingston, Tennessee, serving at an Expository Preaching Conference. We are still rejoicing here in Tumbling Shoals about God’s work at our recent EPC. Every year I say this is the best year yet, and it always is! A special thank you to Darin and Caleb Watkins of Missouri, Barbara McRoberts of Georgia, and Buster Godbee of Little Rock, Arkansas. These fine folks traveled here just to serve at the EPC – waiting tables, carrying stuff, washing dishes – just whatever was needed. Thank you!
Friends, I want to share with you a recent letter received from Jonathan and Emily. This will give you a good idea of what this ministry is all about.
Emily and I want to thank you for including us in this year’s Expository Preaching Conference at Tumbling Shoals Baptist Church. We could not have been made to feel more welcome or more appreciated than we did through the love, generosity, and hospitality of all involved in the conference. We are eternally indebted to all who were involved in making this time effective. It was obvious that the conference was a reflection of your own life with the Lord – your passion for Him and His.
We also want to express our sincere thankfulness for each of the following persons:
– Dr. York and yourself for the exposition of God’s Word and shared wisdom
– Bro. Bill Williams’ hymns, and the work of International Church Planters
– Bro. Brad’s hospitality, his support of the conference, and the demonstration of his
culinary skills
– For the hard work and selflessness of Mrs. Glenda, Mrs. Oneta, and all who were
involved from near and far and who went above and beyond to provide wonderful
meals and to serve us all to the glory of Jesus
– Tumbling Shoals Baptist Church and all who were involved in preparing the church
for the conference and preparing the church to return to daily ministries
– Bro. Eddie and Mrs. Joyce Hightower for their fellowship and hospitality in treating us
to dinner Friday night
– For all who have prayed for fruit from the conference
– For all who financially supported this effort
– For those who came from near and far as attendees
– Thank you each and all!!
Bro. David, Emily and I believe in what you are doing and want to share in the support of this ministry. Know that we will join you in prayer for faithful men in whom to invest. We would also like to help you meet the financial requirements for necessary resources. If ever we could do anything more, we would certainly be more than happy to do so.
