Dear Friends of Line Upon Line Ministries,

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Fall is just beginning to arrive here in Arkansas, and our family is doing well. Ella is now several weeks into her freshman year at Williams Baptist University and her first college volleyball season, while Clayton is well underway with his junior year of high school and his first concurrent college classes at ASU Heber Springs. Sara and I are thankful for the Lord’s continued faithfulness to our family, and we appreciate your prayers.

This month we released Episode 21 of the Line Upon Line Podcast, featuring the first part of a conversation with Miss Oneta Williams. Her late husband, Bro. Bill Williams, was a close friend of David and Glenda Miller and played an important role in the early years of this ministry. It was a joy to sit down with Miss Oneta and hear some of those stories firsthand. Preserving Bro. David’s sermons is an important part of what we do, but we also want to preserve the stories of the people God providentially used alongside him. We look forward to sharing Part Two of that conversation next month.

We are especially excited that Contending for the Faith: Expository Sermons Through Jude was released this month! This is our second collection of Bro. David’s sermons in book form and contains ten expository messages covering all twenty-five verses of Jude. From Jude’s opening words to his great closing doxology, Bro. David continually brings the reader back to the authority of Scripture, the danger of false teaching, and the believer’s confidence in the keeping power of God.

The encouraging response to The Doctrines of Grace helped convince us that these sermon collections are worth continuing. Our desire is to preserve more of Bro. David’s preaching in a form that can be used by pastors, churches, families, and individual believers for many years to come. We are thankful for every opportunity the Lord gives us to preserve faithful preaching, make biblical resources available, and introduce another generation to the ministry of the Word.

Most of all, thank you for your faithful prayers and encouragement. God deserves all glory for this work through this ministry, and we are grateful that He has used you to play a key part in it. We are grateful for your friendship and ask that you continue praying for wisdom and faithfulness as we look toward what comes next.

“But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God.” — Jude 20–21

In Christ,
Mark W. Williams
