Dear Friends,

It’s Sunday morning and I am sitting by the East window in my bedroom waiting as Glenda finishes lunch before we head off to church.  This is my favorite place to wait, pray, meditate, read, etc.  From this vantage point I can view the woods where I often see deer and turkeys.  I have this huge pile of leaves near the window where I pour sunflower seeds and watch the birds and the squirrels mulch the leaves looking for the seeds.  I’m thinking now that I have been doing this same ritual in this same home for 43 years!  What a blessing.

Stability is a wonderful thing.  Longevity in a pastorate is usually a sign of greater achievements.  Financial stability has also characterized our ministry.  The reason for this is that many of you have given to Line Upon Line Ministries consistently for 20 to 30 years.  What a blessing.

I have enjoyed my time at home but I am looking forward to getting started with my preaching schedule in 2016.  You may access my schedule at tumblingshoalsbaptist.org and click on Line Upon Line.

Along with my other duties, I am assuming a new role as “political consultant” as Josh kicks off his campaign for a third term to the Arkansas legislature.  Much emphasis should be placed on the word “assume”!

I pray you have a great new year and that the hope of the gospel will be an anchor for your soul, both steadfast and sure.

On the Potter’s Wheel,

David Miller
