August 2025

Dear Friends of Line Upon Line Ministries,

Blessings in Christ from the beautiful Ozark foothills in Heber Springs, AR! Summer break has ended, and the kids are back in school. Ella has started her Senior year of high school. It is hard to believe that my little baby girl is going to graduate next May. Pray for me and Sara as we cry a lot this year, enjoying many “lasts” with her. We have already experienced her last first day of high school and her last first volleyball game. Pray also for her as she has some big decisions to make this year about what comes next (college, sports, etc.). One piece of exciting news is that she has already received one scholarship offer to play volleyball at Williams Baptist University! She also plays basketball and soccer and has been talking to other coaches and schools as well. So, she will need some godly wisdom for where to go next.

Clayton started his sophomore year of high school. He is taking a course load that I would have never taken myself at his age. He is taking AP Physics, AP World History, Advanced Algebra 2, and Advanced English 2, among his other classes and sports. This will be one of the first years where he will feel more challenged by the work, but we are confident he will do well. We are so proud of the young man he is, and proud of the man he is becoming. Pray that he will enjoy the new challenges and continue to grow through this year.

Sara and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary on July 30. We went and spent a couple days in the place where we took our honeymoon, Branson, MO. We even stayed in the same motel, the Gazebo Inn. It was a joy to get away together and remember all the great times we have enjoyed over the years. We have been through ups and downs, personally, physically, spiritually, financially, and in so many other ways as all couples do. But the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ has kept us together, kept us growing, kept us in perfect peace. I can’t imagine what life would have been like without my “helper suitable.” Next to Christ Himself, she is the greatest joy of my life.

By way of a ministry update, God has been using Line Upon Line in many wonderful ways. We’ve had 1000s of people from around the globe engaging with various resources, sermons, and podcasts on the website as well as our social media, especially through Facebook and YouTube. Many who knew David have been messaging and commenting with wonderful stories and memories of him, which has been a true blessing to hear.

August 7th was the 1-year anniversary of Bro. David’s passing on into glory. It is hard to believe it has already been a year without him, but we rejoice that he and Glenda are in the presence of their Savior and Lord in glorified bodies! In honor of that day, we posted a special podcast this month that includes an interview with Josh Miller about what it was like to grow up in the home of the Country Preacher at Large. This interview will be shared over 3 episodes, so stay tuned for the next two parts over the next couple of months. I know that those of you who have loved the Miller family over the years will enjoy hearing these memories from Josh. I know I have!

As we look forward, we’re praying that the Lord would continue to bless our efforts. We want to see His gospel spread for the glory of Christ! Thank you for standing with us to proclaim God’s truth.

In Christ,
Mark W. Williams
