Newsletter for October 2026
Dear Friends of Line Upon Line Ministries,
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Fall has really settled into Arkansas now. The leaves are changing, the mornings are cooler, hunting season is underway, and Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here before we know it. It is one of our favorite times of the year!
Our family has had a full month. Ella’s freshman volleyball season at Williams Baptist University is coming to an end, and it has been a joy watching her experience her first college season. Clayton recently took the PSAT as he continues through his junior year of high school, and we celebrated Sara’s birthday this month as well. Our church also enjoyed a big Fall Fellowship with a hayride and chili cook-off. Hunting season has started, although I do not have anything to show for it yet! Josh Miller, on the other hand, made a trip to Kansas and came home with a whopper, so at least somebody is having some success in the woods!
This month we released Part Two of our conversation with Miss Oneta Williams on the Line Upon Line Podcast. Her stories about Bill and Oneta’s friendship with David and Glenda Miller have been a wonderful reminder of the people God used throughout the years to encourage and strengthen Bro. David’s ministry. Along with the interview, this month’s featured David Miller sermon is “The Holiness of God” from Isaiah 6. It is a powerful reminder of the majesty, purity, and absolute holiness of our God—and of our desperate need for His grace.
I am also grateful to share that my newest booklet, “Understanding Your Identity God’s Way,” is now available. Based on 1 Corinthians 6:9–11, it points believers away from the world’s constantly changing ideas about identity and back to what God says is true of those who are in Christ. And thank you to everyone who has already picked up a copy of “Contending for the Faith: Expository Sermons Through Jude.” We have been encouraged by the response to this newest collection of Bro. David’s sermons and remain thankful for the opportunity to preserve his faithful preaching in book form.
As the holiday season approaches, we are reminded again of how much we have to be thankful for. God has been exceedingly kind to this ministry, and one of His kindnesses has been allowing us to labor alongside friends like you. Thank you for your continued prayers and encouragement. Please pray that we would remain faithful to God’s Word and make wise use of every opportunity He gives us.
“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!” — Isaiah 6:3
In Christ,
