Dear Friends of Line Upon Line Ministries,
Greetings from the beautiful Ozark foothills here in Heber Springs, AR. The leaves are changing colors; warm reds, oranges, and brights yellows stretch across the valley. What a wonderful reminder that God is sovereign over His creation!
It is both an honor and a bittersweet privilege to introduce myself as the new director of Line Upon Line Ministries. I deeply miss my friend, Bro. David Miller, there will never be another like him. Yet on the other hand it is a great joy to take up the mantle to continue Line Upon Line Ministries into the next chapter God has written for us.
My name is Mark Williams. My wife, Sara, and I have been married for 19 years, and we have two children: Ella, 16, and a junior at Heber Springs High, and Clayton (Clay), 14, a freshman. They are my greatest blessing and ministry. I look forward to sharing more about our family in future letters.
Since 2010, I have served in vocational ministry. My background includes seminary education, homeless outreach, recovery ministries, biblical counseling, and pastoral church leadership. I am dedicated to the expository public and private ministry of the Word. I believe in the sovereignty of God, the sufficiency of the Scriptures, and the blessed doctrines of grace. For the past 2.5 years, I’ve pastored Tumbling Shoals Baptist Church, where I was blessed to know Bro. David. He became one of my greatest encouragers—a mentor and beloved brother in Christ. I am so grateful for the time I had with him and for all he invested in me.
My goal is not to replace Bro. David but to honor his legacy by continuing the ministry God built through him. As we look to the future ministry of Line Upon Line, we are excited to share some next steps. First, we are establishing an online presence both on social media and with a new ministry website, www.lineuponlineministries.com (currently under construction). We will use these platforms for sharing David’s teachings to equip future expositors and encourage believers as well as providing new expository content from myself and others. Additionally, we will be launching a Line Upon Line Podcast and exploring opportunities such as a revival of the Expository Preaching Conference, preaching/teaching opportunities, and other efforts as the Lord leads and provides.
Thank you for your prayers and partnership as we move forward. God has used, is using, and will continue to use each of you as part of this ministry. I look forward to what God will do in the years to come for His Glory!
